Overview
Thmat Boey CBET site was established in 2005 under support from SVC (Sam Veasna Center) in partnership with WCS (Wildlife Conservation Society). Thmat Boey is located within the largest remaining area of dry deciduous forest in South East Asia. It harbors a lot of endangered bird species such as the White Shouldered Ibis and Giant Ibis. Visitors can take a guided tour to experience and learn more about birds and their habitats. This ecotourism site tries to stop hunting on endangered bird species.
Location
Thmat Boey is located in Kulen Promtep Wildlife Sanctuary in the North of Cambodia. Thmat Boey is about 4 hours away from Siem Reap town or 7 hours from Phnom Penh. During the dry season Thmat Boey can be reached by 4-wheel drive vehicles. During the rain season motorbikes have to be used for the last 2km.

CBT Products and services
include 4 guest lodges with 16 beds provided by the local community. The food is organized by the community (if you book with SVC). The SVC bird guides work together with local guides who locate the birds.
